Tasked to make the image of rail freight relevant to New Zealanders and address some age-old perceptions, we took freight off the rail tracks and into kiwi living rooms (not literally).

After 150 years of ‘rollin rollin rollin’ in the background of New Zealanders' awareness, KiwiRail Freight wanted to bring the ‘new, trimmed down and fighting fit’ brand into the living rooms and kitchens of the nation. To show it’s not all just logs and milk powder but that the new KiwiRail Freight is a genuine long haul freight solutions provider riding on the success of an overhauled structure and new technology, we developed a two phase brand campaign culminating in a TV and web commercial. The well-received 60s commercial shows KiwiRail Freight bringing ‘everyday’ goods from their source of production to the shelves of the nations supermarkets and subsequently onto kiwis' morning toast.
