Te Pari in the USA
They’re using our gear here.
Overview
From the phones we use and the cars we drive, to the copious cups of coffee we drink and the clothes we wear, we're hooked on foreign brands. Often with no locally-made alternative or preferring more advanced off-shore technology, we're mostly rely on importing these brands. Economies of scale, availability of resources and local expertise sometimes mean it's simply cheaper.
Te Pari, a South Island-based New Zealand exporting success story, is living proof of this - using locally-sourced components and innovation, they export homegrown agribusiness technology to multiple markets around the globe, including the ranching heartland of the USA. It’s a story told to New Zealand from an American perspective using iconic mid-western imagery.
